Celebrating Five Fabulous Years of Fun!

Throughout my life, I have been intrigued by the theology of reincarnation. Approaching my 50th birthday, I began to think it would be best to explore this idea more fully while I was still alive.

An abandoned building on a quiet street on the little island of Isla Mujeres was also in desperate need of some reincarnating. We joined forces to begin a new life together as Casa Sirena Hotel on November 1, 2006.

Over five years and 1600 reservations later, customer reviews rank us as the #1 Bed & Breakfast in Mexico on Trip Advisor, and in the top 1% in the world on Trivago.

A sincere thanks to all my guests and island friends (and especially my Handsome Boyfriend Dennis) for the past five years of fun. It has been one of the greatest adventure of my life.

In 2012 the Mayan calendar will complete its 13th cycle and begin a fresh 5,125-year cycle. The Maya say it is a time to move forward – we evolve, grow, progress, advance – as individuals, as women, as a community. In the spirit of celebration, women of all ages are coming together on March 8-10, 2012 on Isla Mujeres.

This event is for women interested in reaching their potential. Featured speakers will share how they reached theirs and you will be involved in a blend of interactive workshops and wellness sessions that will give you the insight and tools to reach yours. Come meet and be inspired by renowned women. Share your story and learn from others. Make connections. Find your own beat. Move forward.

The Changing of the Blondes

Comono Restaurant has changed ownership. Lee and Chen (photo left) decided to return to Israel with their beautiful baby girl to be closer to family.

Former Casa Sirena guest Penny Deming, from Vancouver, Canada, is the new proprietor (photo right). The restaurant menu and decor are unchanged, and Comono remains our favorite place for a Chicken Caesar Salad and a cold drink!

Photo of the Month
